Anemia is a condition caused when there is decrease in hemoglobin in the body. This may be due to many reasons but the common reason is due to the deficiency of iron in the body. It is to be noted that when there is less hemoglobin then this will cause the decrease in the oxygen carrying capacity of the red blood cells which is vital for carrying out functions of the body part. This may lead to early tiredness, Brittle nails, hair loss, dysphagia and many more problems.

It is always mandatory to know the cause of hair loss and one may need to get some blood investigations and if required scalp biopsy to establish the diagnosis.

If there is anemia then one should try to find out the cause for it and treat it accordingly. Once the hemoglobin levels are restored to normal then only if required one should attempt hair transplant. In anemia if surgery is performed may lead to delayed healing and more chances of infection which can compromise the results and outcomes of the procedure performed.
