How to reduce swelling after hair transplant?

Dec 18, 2018 | By Dr. Sangay Bhutia (Hair Transplant Doctor in Delhi, NCR, India)

Swelling after hair transplant may occur when the procedure is done for the frontal area or the hairline. Swelling generally starts after 2 to 3 days and generally subsides in 4 to 5 days. It starts in the lower part of the forehead then descends to the root of the nose and around the eyes and then move down and subsides.

One may keep the head little elevated while sleeping to reduce the swelling. Application of ice packs and squeezing the swelling from middle of forehead to sideways may help in reducing it.
