Can PRP regrow hair? How does PRP works

March 12, 2018 | By Dr. Sangay Bhutia (Hair Transplant Doctor in Delhi, NCR, India)

PRP is Platelet Rich Plasma. In this patient's blood is drawn and then in separate PRP vial it is centrifuged. At our center we do two round of centrifuge, one for separation of platelets from the other blood components and second for the concentration of platelets so as to have the optimal effect. These are done by preset protocols software already in the PRP centrifuge at proper temperature and proper RPM.

This resultant PRP has growth factors which when injected leads to healing process. The hair fall slows and stops after PRP injections and also leads to reversal of Miniaturizing follicles and thin hairs, making the hair thick and improving the quality of existing natural hairs. If there is baldness then PRP does not lead to new hair growth but will improve the thinning hairs.
